Extending over 6 km’s, the Silk Road hosted the most important trade goods, cultures, and ideas during 2000 years… Following these footprints you will meet with the typical wooden Ottoman houses that still stands in spectacular nature.
3 hours drive to Tarakli. Visiting the town and lunch in a local restaurant. Via enroute Lake Sapanca, where quiet restaurants and hotels line the lakeshore. Evening return to Istanbul.

We travel to Western Black Sea and after 3 hours drive arrive to the town called Tarakli, which was once a halting place on the Silk Road. Its venerable history goes back to antiquity, during Byzantine times it was a small fortress town in the region governed by the lord of Bursa. Istanbulities escape to this retreat in the Saman Mountain basin throughout the year.
